Non-Surgical Face Lift
Seeing people who have just had a face lift can be a frightening experience.
Often, after the surgery they are holed up at home covered in bandages looking
like they had just been beaten like a rented mule.
For many this is a small price to pay for looking younger and healthier. But
for others, the cost doesn't seem quite so appealing. That's why scientists
have developed a non-surgical procedure that offers many of the same attributes
but without the long recovery time.
The process is called Thermage and it is the newest nonsurgical face lift technique.
Basically what the process does is it used radio frequency energy to pull, tighten
and lift the skin on the face. Thermage uses a new advanced technique called
ThermaCool TC. Recently the technique has been used on other parts of the body
and results have been promising.
Many patients who have tried the technique on their abs and their thighs have
has positive results thus lending credibility and momentum to this new technique.
The non surgical face lift procedure is aimed at patients in their 40's, 50's,
and 60's who have already made a concerted effort through, diet, creams and
other treatments to take years off of the look of their face. Generally these
folks would like to look younger but without all of those unsightly scars.
So far the procedure has produced the best results around the mouth and on
the forehead area, but there have also been some great results on the upper
arm of all places.
But obviously what makes the technique so appealing is that there is little
to no down time after the treatment has been completed. There are no bruises
and black and blue patches. Plus the procedure is cheaper than traditional surgical
face lifts.
The average patient pays around $1,800 and the effects last for a year and
a half. But, just because there is no scaring doesn't mean that there is no
pain. There is a slight discomfort after the surgery, but doctors have developed
a numbing cream that will help cool the skin and ease an stress resulting from
the treatment.
Of course this is no magical process, if you are looking for immediate results
this is not the procedure for you, however, the convenience and the price make
it an attractive option.
