The risks of facial implant surgery can range anywhere from prolonged discomfort to death. Very few people have ever died during this type of surgery, but when there is general anesthesia involved there are always risks.

Another risk of this surgery is that facial implants may shift and when this occurs usually the patient will need to go into surgery again to have the problem corrected.
