Non Surgical Eye Lift
There are a number or more or less successful non surgical eye lifting methods
out there, from deeply moisturizing and tightening eye creams to deep cell massages
to radiofrequency lift method.
Thermolift
One of the newest and most talked about technologies used to reverse the signs
of aging claims to use radiofrequency waves in order to lift and tighten sagging
skin. The manufacturers of thermolift say that radiofrequency gently heats the
deep surface of the skin causing it to contract and tighten and then further
making it lift.
By the lifting of the face, brow and cheeks without surgery and without downtime
thermolift is probably one of the best alternatives to the plastic surger. The
procedure is safe and it takes less than an hour to perform. Patients who undergo
this non surgical eye lift method will be given only a topical anesthesia and
will be able to resume work immediately.
Thermolift also claims to be able to treat all skin colors and is said to be
safter than the laser surgery where there's always risk of having the pigment
affected. It does not however replace laser skin treatments or traditional eye
lid surgeries. A deeply wrinkled, sagging skin will not benefit from this type
of non surgical eye lift as much as a less aged skin. Also, if there's significant
sagging in the skin only a plastic surgery will be able to tighten the area
properly.
Lasers
Lasers are mostly used to eliminate wrinkles. They don't cause a lift per se
but will eliminate wrinkles around the area successfully enough that a lift
may not be needed. This is because lasers not only exfoliate the surface of
the skin, but they also tighten the skin's collagen fibers through which they
are restoring some of the skin's elasticity. The results last ten years or more.
Adhesive
Hidden within the eyelid skin, a new higher fold created by the eye lift adhesives
claim responsibility for a number of accomplishments: tightening of the skin,
picking up loose skin as well as raising heavy eyelids, helping making eyelids
symmetrical and changing the look of the eyelid.
Threads
This type of procedure is achieved by placing aptos or anti-drooping suturing
threads underneath the skin surface to serve as a truss to elevate a drooping
eye. The thread has bi-directional knot-like barbs that hook tissue and lift
it into place with more stability than regular sutures. The thread can be gently
tightened for added support. Only tiny incisions are needed, and treatment can
be performed using local anesthesia in the dermatologic surgeon's office and
it lasts less than an hour.
Creams
Eyelid creams claim to tighten and tone facial muscles as well as lift up sagging
skin. They are more effective with younger patients as there is some diminishing
of wrinkles and fine lines and improvement of skin texture.
