Title of Question: meterosexual |
| Question: My girlfriend claims that plastic surgery is becoming more and more popular amongst men and that there's nothing troubling with her friend's boyfriend getting a chin implant done. Okay, fine, whatever, is what I told her but then I started thinking that perhaps things have changed a lot since I was younger and that perhaps there's nothing wrong with doing what her friend's boyfriend is doing. I've been thinking a lot about getting liposuction done as I do have little love handles. I also have what my girlfriend calls my "manboobs" (She thinks she's beign cute and I laugh about it but it's starting to bother me). My girlfriend is very encouraging about plastic surgery but I want to really make sure getting plastic surgery doesn't make me, you know. Gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I already feel quite feminine with the lack of hair on my chest and the fact that my breasts are bigger than they should be... I am really confused about all this plastic surgery and men thing. Any comments? |

| Answer: You sound so cute, your really foccussing on the wrong things. If you want to have it done you need to do it for yourself. People always do things for other people, you need to sit down and think about what you want and do what you think is best. |

| Answer: Hello there... I totally think that you should undergo plastic surgery if that's what will make you more comfortable. I wouldn't associate being gay with having plastic surgery, wearing facial creams, or even makeup. I have a boyfriend that can be considered metrosexual, and he is the sort who wears accessories and nice clothes. He is a bit femme, but I don't associate that with being gay. I think that every man has the same right as women to primp and take care of themselves. In this day and age, men and women are focusing on looking better. I think that by you getting plastic surgery, it would mean that you're doing something to look and feel better. [For both you and your girlfriend.] I think it shows a flare for style and it just radiates confidence. Nothing is sexier than a man with confidence! |

| Answer: Look, I don't know too much like I claim to...but I feel that plastic surgery ISN'T the solution. If manboobs are bothering you it is definitely your self-esteem. Everybody's self-consious. The question is, will the plastic surgery help you feel better? Or is it just an excuse - are the manboobs really the problem? Will you really be more confident without them?
Now, if you're sure getting rid of the extra flab and manboobs is really going to make you feel like a better person...then there's nothing wrong with plastic surgery. Plastic surgery has NOTHING to do with being gay. Being gay means liking to have sex with other men. NOT what operations you have gotten (unless you're getting a sex-change or something.) It's true, everybody's getting it now a days...even dogs (like, pets. Seriously. It's not a big deal.) Also, lack of chest hair or having manboobs does not = femme. If James Bond didn't have chest hair, would he be considered girly? No. Simon Cowell (that angry Brit on American Idol) has manboobs - does he look girly to you at all? No.

| Answer: I've had a plastic surgery on my nose, and am planning for a second operation. It is a meterosexual age. Females aren't the only ones who can be beautiful. Males can be beautiful too. Besides, studies show that females are more attracted to a male with feminine qualities, including the way they look. Do it, and feel good about yourself. Who cares what gender you are! |
