 Q&A | General Discussions : Botox bad?

Name: Kali Gal Title of Question: Botox bad?
Question: I'm looking into getting botox around my eyes but there seems to be a current backlash in regards to the harms of botox. Does anyone know what this is all about?

Answer: Some of the backlash is resulting from the paralysis of 4 people after they had botox. However, investigators found that the botox shots contained a large dose of raw, unapproved toxin that a Florida clinic bought from a California laboratory.

Answer: Those cases was just a case of malpractice. Apparently the shots given contained 10 million units of botox while a regular botox shot should contain significantly less units of botox. I think the FDA said that the doctor did not dilute the botox enough.

Answer: I am having surgery soon to remove a brain tumor, which my doctors believe is benign. Among my many obvious concerns right now, I am worried that the pain involved in my recovery process will leave me with undesirable frown lines. While many people may think that frown lines should be the least of my concerns right now, I am trying to remain positive about getting well and I look very forward to my future. I plan to have a normal, healthy, and happy life after my recovery... and I'd rather not be left with the reminders of this stressful situation etched into my face. So, I am considering having a Botox treatment before I enter the hospital. Does this idea seem vain or frivolous? I've never tried Botox before and I don't want any of my doctors to think that I'm crazy. Also, can anyone recommend a good place to have Botox injections done in the Raleigh, North Carolina area? Thanks!!!
