Question: Does anyone know anything about PLENITAS? Plenitas is a company that offers medical tours to Argentina. I have just recently recieved a quote from them for surgery in Buenos Aires. The performing surgeon would be Dr. Ranieri. He is a member of the Argentine Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Has anyone out there ever heard of this doctor or the Academy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer: I've been to Argentina two months ago and everything was so wonderful. There was no problem there. The clinic was of excellent standard and the staff is more than helpful and exceptionally polite and considerate. The doubts passed since I met my doctor there. I felt so at ease and confident with him right away. My personal assitant was a great support too. I have no hesitation in recommending PLenitas for tummy tuck surgery and I'm very pleased with my new look. My sister is travelling to Buenos Airies for a BA and a facelift on next September.

Answer: Erica, who was ur 'Personal'assistant and Physician? My physician was not the problem. It was the service that Plenitas stated that they would provide and did not. Like the other patient that posted, I also was charged additional monies after having sent photos, Plenitas stated that they could not tell my procedures from the photos. However, the photos were taken by a PS in the US. I felt like it was a scam to get me down there and then charge more. I did ask the physician if he had seen the photos prior to seeing me in person. He had not. Apparently, someone at Plenitas reviews the photos and sets the pricing I don't know if it is a physician. I was disappointed with the Personal assistant in that they were not there pre-surgery or post-surgery. The nurses in post surgery could not speak English and I could not communicate with them. I was promised a cell phone in order to communicate with my 'assistant' and it never materialized. It was a very difficult trip and not one I would recommend to anyone else, no matter how much $$ could be saved.

Answer: I just got home from BA. My doctor was wonderful but BEWARE of PLENITAS. My husband and I went together and it would have been PERFECT if not for PLENITAS!! The company is ran by several UNEXPERIENCED 20 yr old women! They say it's a professional business but it's NOT! The prices are TRIPLED, the SERVICE is THE WORST EVER!! Answer: I made arrangements through Plenitas to have a Breast Augmentation and mini Tummy Tuck with DR. Brosto at the end of July. My experience with Plenitas went very badly. I arrived in Buenos Aires to find that Plenitas had not arranged anything as we had agreed upon prior to my arrival. Because of this I ended up having a Breast Augmentation with DR Brosto and a Mini Tummy Tuck with DR Gallo. Even though my experience with Plenitas was horrible, my experience with DR Brosto went very well. He did a great job and was a great Doctor to deal with. The day I arrived in Buenos Aires I had my pre-op appointment with him at his regular office. Now that did worry me a bit at the start. My impression of his regular office was not real good. My impression of him, however, was good so I went forward with the surgery. The surgery center he works out of was also good. My post op vist with him was held at the Plenitas offices where they are now having him see all of the Plenitas patients at. The day I had my pre-op appointment I did speak to another women who he had done a face lift for the week before. The was leaving that day to go back to Canada. She was very hapy with his work as well.

Answer: there are 2 sides to every story. i encourage you to read an excellent, simple book called "cosmetic surgery for dummys." it gives detailed explanations on every cosmetic procedure. Plenitas is a new company, and they do have personal issues to work out regarding customer service. the doctors they provide professional treatment and care. i recommend you do your research and find out from patients, good and bad experiences. going with Plenitas, provides a tremendous savings and they provide translators and assistance. if you want to go on your own, without them, you need to be independent and know your way around the city. you need to decide if you have a high maintenence personality or are easy going. i had multiple procedures done, in buenos aires. i had excellent results with very little discomfort. Dr. Brosto is an skilled surgeon. he is friendly and has a good sense of humor. the cristol palace is clean and the staff are very helpful. the golf clinic is clean and sterile. ask Plenitas to send pictures, of the doctors work, they will be glad to help. make sure you are honest about your health. you must be in good health, quit smoking,drinking and change to healthy eating. cosmetic surgery needs to be thought about and prayed about. best wishes and hope your dreams come true, sincerely, Rae

Answer: Some one made reference to a compan call Make me Heal based in the USA. I live in the UK and I ordered a garment that you wear after liposuction which when arrived were abount 3 sizes too small, they charged me £88 for this garment which on their invoice was only priced at $49. I returned the garment for a refund but they informed me that because the garment was dirty and had been worn the would not refund my money. In fact the garment was sent back unused. The garment did not fit so I would not have worn it. So beware before you order anything from them

Plenitas didn´t really do much though..i had a personal assitant for the surgery but qyite honestly it sasn´t neccesary. Answer: Well,dr.Brosto and pretty much all other doctors who work for Plenitas do have contracts with this company and cannot work outside it.If they are caught, they loose license for 2 years. But there is good news:you can contact directly any surgeon of your choice via the website of Society of Plastic Surgeons of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Answer: I have visited BA a few times in the past year but am only now thinking about getting some plastic surgery done there. When I travel there I use a company called Buenos Aires Adviser to make all the arrangements. They get me the hotel, and pick me up at the airport as well as making any restaurant, theater, or other entertainment reservations I need for my business. They are professional and very reasonable and I rarely have to pay in advance. When I was there last time I did have a small dental problem and they put me in touch with a dentist who took care of it for next to nothing. He had the latest facilities and was very professional. I am thinking they might be just as efficient at recommending a plastic surgeon. Has anyone else ever used them?
